Emperor_Larsen: Greetings everyone and welcome to Imperial Order Meeting #329! Emperor_Larsen: Imperial Command Authority Report: Emperor_Larsen: 1.) Activity Levels Emperor_Larsen: I noticed a slight drop in activity this past week, and I hope this trend does not continue. (today's meeting attendance for example) In the past I've always stressed that everyone be as active as they can in the IO, and while I do see some of you being active, I'd like to see *everyone* active. I know this may be a lofty goal and standard, but I Emperor_Larsen: know that everyone can do this, and it has been done before. Everyone in the IO needs to pull together so we can make the Imperial Order a truly unstoppable force in the Galaxy. Emperor_Larsen: A Galaxy, I might add, that we still only control half of the charted sectors. There are plenty of enemies out there that would like to take shots at us, and in turn there are plenty of rebellious groups for our military forces to go after, so that peace and order can truly be restored throughout our Galaxy. Emperor_Larsen: 2.) The Imperial Olympics Emperor_Larsen: Round Two is still going on for some people who were granted play extensions. If you haven't yet completed your Round Two matches, I'll give everyone until Tuesday Emperor_Larsen: night to get them in (unless you've been granted a longer extension by me). Emperor_Larsen: If you do not have them in by then, you will be receiving a score of 0 points for failing Emperor_Larsen: to submit your results. Everyones been doing good so far, so let's keep up the good work! Emperor_Larsen: I will be posting results for Round Two as they come in, so far the Jedi Knight Results for Round Two have been posted. Emperor_Larsen: Round Three information will be sent out Tuesday night via email. Emperor_Larsen: 3.) Story Contest Emperor_Larsen: I will post this info on the Holonet in a few moments, but starting today, I am holding a creative writing competition for everyone in the IO. You can write your story on anything IO related, anything about your character, your squadron/platoon, your adventures, whatever, the sky is the limit. Battle Ideas Emperor_Larsen: I am once again accepting any ideas that anyone has for future official battles. You do not need to have any editing skills Emperor_Larsen: to submit battle ideas, just a good imagination. Battle idea plotlines should be well thought out, at least a paragraph Emperor_Larsen: if not more, explaining your idea and the course the battle will take, as well as the Imperial forces involved and of Emperor_Larsen: course the hostile elements. If you need some resources, consult the Fleet Order of Battle for our complete Fleet listings, Emperor_Larsen: and the Sector Plexus to see which sectors we control. Emperor_Larsen: Each idea submittals will receive the amount of 10,000 ICs regardless of whether your idea is used or not. Ideas that are used Emperor_Larsen: will receive appropriate awards for their efforts. All battle ideas are to be sent to me via email at emperor@imperialorder.net Emperor_Larsen: I will not accept them any other way except through email. Emperor_Larsen: 5.) Training Office Update Emperor_Larsen: I am pleased to report that today alone, four Flight Cadets passed their entrance exam and 3 are in the pre-graduation status, Emperor_Larsen: and one, ENS Oni Riggers has already graduated and transferred to Hawk Squadron. Please make these new members feel Emperor_Larsen: welcome in the Imperial Order. Emperor_Larsen: On a similar note, I definitely appreciate when officers welcome new recruits on the Platform Tigris Network of the Holonet, Emperor_Larsen: however, I would like you all to do a little bit more to make them feel welcome. Instead of saying just a simple "Welcome to Emperor_Larsen: the IO" give them a little advice about training (since you've all been through it), offer to answer any questions they have, Emperor_Larsen: let them know that they can contact you on any of our communication devices if they have any problems - especially Emperor_Larsen: if the new recruit is a part of your squadron or platoon! Help to make them truly feel like a part of the IO. Emperor_Larsen: 6.)
